At Yoder Engineered Structures we believe in using the finest materials available to construct your new building. We care about the level of quality achieved in every building we construct. Our design concept features several components that distinguish us from the competition.

Starting with the footing/foundation of our post frame building design. Our buildings feature a 5’ hole depth to achieve maximum anchoring and stability. An 18” diameter concrete footing is set in place with a 10” post pad resting on each footing whether bearing or non-bearing. The post pad is attached to each post prior to it being installed into the hole. A 12" reinforcement bar is placed in each column for uplift protection.

Our columns are GPB Nail-Lam #1 Southern Pine in both the treated and untreated portion and carry a 60 year warranty. They feature a #1 SPIB finger joint that connects the treated portion to the untreated. The plies are glued, nailed and planed on all sides creating a uniform product to frame with. Sidewall columns are placed at 8’ intervals as a standard unless doorways or openings are created.

Applied to the base of each building is a #1 treated 2x8 skirtboard that is designed for ground contact that also features a 60 year warranty. All 2x4 girts and purlins are SPF #2 Hi-Line grade lumber. #1 southern yellow pine lumber is used through the remainder of the  building including all headers, truss supports, rafters, trusses, and fascia boards.

Our trusses are designed to be spaced 4’ on center as a standard and are designed to compensate for ceiling installation. Each truss is lag screwed to tie down blocks with multiple fasteners. Many custom truss designs are available including but not limited to; scissor trusses, attic trusses, gambrell trusses, mono slope, cantilevered, and partial vault.

Our 26 Ga. G-Rib panel steel and trim is produced by Martin Metals LLC in Versailes, MO. With a siliconized polyester finish and a 40 year warranty, it achieves the level of quality that can give you that peace of mind you deserve by choosing us as your builder.
